Malaa – Who Is Malaa #18
The ever anonymous Pardon My French heavyweight Malaa recently dropped the eighteenth installment of his highly acclaimed “Who Is Malaa” mixtape series. The half-hour, eight track mix contains a handful of unreleased IDs leading to heavy speculation that the tracks belong to Malaa himself.
With heaving bass and heavy house drums, the track titled “Mikumi” from Skitzofrenix & Simon Kidzoo combines old-school funk sounds with contemporary house elements, making it one of our favorites in the mix. Not to mention Riva Starr‘s minimal yet meaty track “Raw Feel” in the set’s second half, which fits the vibe of previous mixes in the series.
Episode 18 is yet another great mix to listen to, so be sure to add it to your hump day rotation.
