EDC Mexico Tickets Postponed Indefinitely Due to Recent Earthquake

It has been a very difficult period of time for Mexico. The country is still reeling from its 2nd earthquake strike in the past few months. This most recent earthquake rated at over 7.0 and hit the world’s largest city, Mexico City.

While rescue crews continue searching for trapped survivors in collapsed buildings throughout the metro area, the dance music community is already being directly affected. EDC Mexico takes place in Mexico City each year in early March. Tickets for EDC Mexico 2018 were set to go on sale this week, but Insomniac President Pasquale Rotella announced that the sale would be postponed. EDC similarly postponed announcements concerning EDC Orlando 2016 in the wake of the Orlando terror attack.

It’s unclear at this time when exactly the ticket sales will begin again, but EDC is doing the right thing by letting the country recover first. Our hearts go out to Mexico as the rescue and recovery efforts push onward.
