‘Alien Technology‘ by Alok and HI-LO should have been released today but the distribution team at Spinnin’ Records accidentally sent out a track by Infected Mushroom and WARRIORS instead.
Listeners were expecting to hear house from a Heldeep Records release, listeners were confused when they hit play on Spotify and ‘Becoming Insane’ started playing instead. While the 2007 psytrance song by Infected Mushroom and WARRIORS is also a hit, it is definitely not what fans of Alok or HI-LO were looking for. Even worse for the distribution team, HI-LO is the alias for Oliver Heldens himself, founder of Heldeep.
The track was correctly distributed on SoundCloud and Beatport, but fans who tried to listen to ‘Alien Technology’ on the Spinnin’ website, Apple Music, and Spotify were surprised. Although the distribution team made a mistake, they were able to remedy it quickly and upload the correct song.
