Skrillex’s label, OWSLA, has always been the home of some of the best up and coming electronic music talent and their newest signing is no exception. Ekali took to social media on Tuesday to announce that he has signed with the LA-based OWSLA by posting a picture of himself wearing a shirt with their famous logo.
The Canadian producer also shared the news that he has a brand new single coming out on Friday, August 18th titled ‘Babylon (feat. Denzel Curry)‘. In addition, he announced that this track would be the first single off of an upcoming EP that will be released on the label. As of now, no other information was shared.
Recent fans of Ekali who have seen his live sets recently will be familiar with the synth-filled jungle track featuring the up and coming rapper. Long time fans will be familiar with Ekali’s hard hitting remix of Curry’s hit song, ‘Threatz‘ that helped him gain attention for DJ’s, producers and fans around the world.
Ekali’s popularity has skyrocketed over the past few years as he’s been releasing incredible consistent productions, amazing mixes with his Awakenings Series, and unforgettable live sets at Hard Summer, Coachella and just about everywhere else. Ekali has had an amazing year so far and its about to get even bigger with the help of Skrillex and the OWSLA crew.
