The Block In Tel Aviv to Become the Host of a New Music Festival

The Block, Tel Aviv
Great news for all house and techno fans that are planning on heading off to Tel Aviv in September: The Block, one of the city’s major nightclubs, will be hosting a 3 day festival with many perks.

For the first time since its opening in 2008, the venue will trespass the “8 hour” party barrier, to become a festival spot. DJs like Ben Klock, Dixon, Nastia and Richie Hawtin will be headlining the gig, but, fear no more, many other artists are yet to be announced.

The Block Festival will occur between September 21 and September 23, during the weekend of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish festivity for New Year. We believe the selection of these dates have not been purely coincidental, as a new year should always be celebrated with happiness, good vibes and, of course, good music.

As far as the location goes, The Block is one of Tel Aviv’s most well-known underground electronic music clubs. It is considered to have a world class category, similar to places like Berghain in Berlin or Amnesia in Ibiza. The enormous building consists of three rooms where music is the key: designed by its founder and former resident DJ Yaron Trax, each room is equipped with a state of the art custom made analog sound system.

For nearly a decade, The Block has been very active in the scene and has been receiving DJs and producers from all over the world, such as Marcel Dettmann, Seth Troxler, Nina Kraviz, Diplo and more.

With the occasion of this promising event, the three rooms will be accommodating different stages where both locally and internationally acclaimed DJs will be performing on a non-stop marathon. The festival area will also have different bars, food stalls, lounges and secret rooms, and it will be featuring expositions, laser shows and many other surprises.
