Miley Cyrus’ Malibu Remixed by Several Big Names

Miley
Miley Cyrus songs have a place at every party, pumping up the crowd with an upbeat pop tune or bringing on the emotions with a mellow number. Her new tune “Malibu” shows her softer side, charming listeners with a warm and folksy sound. Several big names in EDM took the opportunity to play around with her vocals to show different sides of the song, including Dillon Francis, Alan Walker, The Him, Tiesto, Lost Frequencies and Gigamesh.

Dillon Francis kicked the tempo up a notch with his signature moombahton sound to get your body moving, but he managed to also keep tropical vibes present in the original. Alan Walker gave this chill track some future bass treatment and a rhythm to complement the vocals. Walker’s remix instantly makes “Malibu” more fun and groovy. The Him added classic house elements and beats that appeal to the masses while retaining the melody, making it a perfect summer song for the beach. Tiesto adds his signature energy to the song, including a massive buildup that has the crowd ready to jump. Lost Frequencies highlight the vocals with a soft start to the song and steady beats leading into a synth-heavy version. Using echoes, they change the flavor of the song making it a little darker. Finally, Gigamesh layers instruments on top of each other culminating in a drop that speaks to a peaceful feeling of looking at blue skies with sand in your toes. Check out all the remixes on Spotify below.
