Hard Summer 2017 Announces Major Venue Change

HS
Big news today from one of SoCal’s major music festivals. HARD Summer has just revealed that this year’s festival will take place 12 miles away from its original location at the the Fontana Speedway in Fontana, CA to the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino. The venue distance is only 12 miles, but the logistics of having an outdoor theater could mean great things for the controversial festival. This is the second venue change for Hard Summer in just 2 years, highlighting the strained relationship between electronic music festivals and city planning officials. It’s also a last minute change, as the festival was originally announced to return to the Speedway and kicks off on August 4.

The show will go on however at the 1,340 acre venue formerly known as the San Manuel Amphitheater. The grounds boast a scenic backdrop of the San Gabriel and San Bernardino Mountains. This venue change offers plenty of greenery, a clean break from the concrete (and asphalt) jungle that is the Fontana Speedway.

All tickets purchased to date will allow the ticket holder admission to the event. Tickets are to be shipped this week. You can still purchase VIP, GA, and Camping Passes through Ticketmaster here.

HARD Summer’s official line-up and artist schedules will remain the same. Doors open at 12pm each day. The box office will open at 11am. The festival will take place on Aug 5th and 6th, with camping opening on Friday Aug 4th.
