The Chainsmokers Say Their Dream Collab is with Kanye West

Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers have accomplished some amazing collaborations with the likes of Daya, Halsey, Tiesto, Florida Georgia Line, even U2’s frontman Bono & more. The duo speak on how they were able to meet and come across Bono with the help of another familiar name who is no stranger to EDM collaborations, Ryan Tedder, frontman of OneRepublic, stating:

We ended up becoming pretty good friends with him and he’s been one of those people that you can have such a great respect for because they’ve been in an insanely successful band for so many decades.”

After high profile collabs such as those above, the American DJ duo reveal a longtime dream collaboration they would love to see come to life: Kanye West.

The duo went on radio show Fully Charged and said that from the long list of candidates they would love to create something with, the incredibly talented and top selling rap artist Kanye West is a name they feel is constantly recurring on that list. The duo also states, “He’s a legend. I mean, that guy has sold probably like over three, four hundred million albums.” They continued, “from what I hear, he’s like one of the nicest guys too out there.”

Aside from the fact that they themselves have a song named after West, appropriately titled “Kanye,” can you imagine what a collaboration between the two successful artists would sound like? Would we get another West sounding classic like the Daft Punk sampled “Stronger” or will we get another Chainsmoker-esque chart topping hit that gets stuck in our head like the popular collaboration with Halsey, “Closer,” or another banger like their hit collab with Daya, “Don’t Let Me Down?” Whatever the case will be, this is one collaboration that if it happens, will likely hit the top of the charts!
