A national celebratory parade will take place in the city of Nice, France on July 14th along the famed Champs-Elysées Avenue. The parade will be commemorating the centennial mark of Nice’s commitment to the war. French electronic staple Daft Punk will be making an appearance at the parade in the form of special renditions of their music.

The symbolic event will be in part a tribute to the 86 people who died and 458 injured in the 2016 Bastille Day massacre in Nice. The festivities will include patriotic marches and airshows and a large gathering of French ally leaders (which includes our own President Trump). The unofficial anthem “Nissa la Bella,” meaning “Nice the Beautiful,” will be covered in different versions by a variety of musicians. Military musicians will also be offering their rendition of Daft Punk scores during the glorious tributes.

The French pride is a remarkably spirited contention of their loyalty to their country, and with that, their Daft Punk ode will be surely a performance to enjoy.
