Zedd has teamed up with creative content creators Beautiful Destinations to create a video series based on his travels around the world.
Zedd premiered the first video of the series via his social media over the weekend, showcasing his travels through Hong Kong, China. The video is narrated by Zedd himself, speaking about his life, path to music and the journey that music has allowed him to take so far.
Beautiful Destinations creates online content showcasing the breathtaking sights of the world through their social media channels. They transform every day places and things into pieces of art, showing the true beauty that can’t always be seen in person.
Zedd begins the video speaking about how he started music at 4 years old, but gained interest in electronic music at around 18. He explains how becoming a DJ was never part of the plan because it was always just a passion, not a career.
Zedd speaks over snippets of one of his classic songs, “Clarity” ft. Foxes, and his newest release, “Stay” with Alessia Cara, while the video showcases the beautiful scenery of Hong Kong. Zedd can be seen sight-seeing, traveling, goofing around and even performing on some major festival stages.
Zedd explains that he teamed up with Beautiful Destinations because, “they create content in such a unique and progressive way, it makes you see things as they could be, not necessarily as they are.” This statement correlates to what he hopes to be able to accomplish with his music.
Zedd has been quite busy recently, having just had his ACLU benefit concert with Skrillex, Macklemore, Incubus, Halsey, and several others, as well as announcing a new album is on the way featuring a collaboration with Khalid.
