It’s been a wild ride for the bass music duo Boombox Cartel who catapulted on to the scene with their single “B2U” a few years back, which played a major role in them inking a record deal with Diplo’s Mad Decent. Now, the two maestros finally dropped off their first official EP titled “Cartel.”
From track 1 to track 5 the project showcases Boombox’s multi faceted production abilities, with stunning future bass melodies to their signature hard-hitting trap drops and everything in between. Our personal favorite has to be the QUIX collaboration at the end called “Widdit” which has been a staple in DJ sets for the past year. This EP is a dynamic musical journey and sets the bar really high when it comes to forward-thinking bass music.
