Swedish House Mafia’s Greyhound is Five Years Old

Greyhound
Wow, how time flies. It seems like just yesterday that myself and thousands of others experienced SHM’s massive breakup tour One Last Tour at the beginning 2013, at which the group (not so) coincidentally opened their sets with their anthem “Greyhound.” When Greyhound was released on March 12, 2012, it was immediately clear that this track was something special. Since its release, the track has become a timeless classic, and here we are writing to celebrate its fifth birthday (yesterday).

A lot has changed since March 12, 2012; Steve Angello embarked full-time on his solo career and has remained at the top of the game with his work on his record label SIZE, massive festival performances, as well as the release of his debut solo album Wild Youth. As most know, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso teamed up again shortly after SHM’s split to create Axwell^Ingrosso, and have also continued playing major festivals across the globe.

We all miss Swedish House Mafia, and no matter how many rumors of a reunion there are, it’s just not going to happen. Regardless, the group had an incredible run with a string of releases that still get played today, and Greyhound was at the peak. Throw this tune on your speakers today for a nice reminiscent listen.
