Air & Style goers were in for a pleasant surprise when ZHU hopped on stage Sunday night. The DJ premiered a special remix of the hottest track in the country, “Bad & Boujee”. “Bad & Boujee” has caused the Atlanta rap group, Migos’ to absolutely blow up leading to the track hitting the top of the Billboard Hot 100 last month shortly after its release.
ZHU added his own element to the scorching hot track by adding in a funky deep bassline filled with precisely placed percussion hits and trap-like sounding breaks. ZHU kept the well-known and catchy chorus, but turned down the frequencies giving the vocals a more ominous feel. As festival season approaches, keep your eye out for more remixes of chart topping tracks to come.
