Zedd Organizing an ACLU Benefit Show

ACLU

President Donald Trump recently issued an executive order declaring a 90-day ban on anyone entering the United States from Somalia, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Syria, Libya, and Sudan. In addition, refugees are not allowed to enter into the states for four months, and the process of receiving a visa is even harder than ever. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) was not at all pleased with this news, nor was German-Russian star Zedd.

The electronic music community has not been quiet in their opposition to the decree, with Zedd leading the pack. He was so distraught by the news that he vowed to put on a benefit show in support of the ACLU. Tweeting to Sia, Grimes, Macklemore, and Camila Cabello, the producer hopes to gather enough artists to throw a concert that proves the resilience of opposition. Although nothing is set in stone yet, Zedd is not one to back down from a challenge.

Throughout the years of his career, Zedd has consistently shown everyone that his enthusiasm for music is second only to his passion for equality and justice. When Kesha was battling a lawsuit against Dr. Luke, Zedd took the time to reach out to her and agreed to produce a song with her. Amidst the legal battle chaos, they released “True Colors“. Hopefully, Zedd will pull of the ACLU concert the same way he helped Kesha begin her career anew.
