The Chainsmokers Announce New ‘Memories’ Tour, Debut Album

The Chainsmokers have come a long way since their infamous “Selfie” song. After another year filled with impressive tracks and imposing performances, they have definitely claimed their spot as one of the biggest acts in music today. The Chainsmokers have stated in the past that an album would come when they felt it was demanded by the fans. Now that they have achieved astronomical goals by producing some of the most popular tunes across the globe, it is undoubtedly time for an album.

The duo of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall have made it known that they wanted their album to be more than just a compilation of music but instead a series of music that would tell a story. With their singles including Closer and Paris possessing lyrics that reflect moments in their personal lives, it is clear that they are well on their way to establishing their goal. The Chainsmokers announced their debut album through their social media platforms in a format of a collage of fans tweeting about their interest in a Chainsmokers album.

As if breaking the silence on their highly anticipated debut album last night was not enough, The Chainsmokers also announced their North American tour for 2017. Entitled the Memories Tour, the tour consists of 38 stops all across the United States at some of the country’s most renowned venues. The tour will also feature guests including, Kiiara, Emily Warren, and a few more surprise guests at certain locations.

Presale for tickets for the ‘Memories’ tour have already begun and can be accessed with the promotion code, “Paris”. If presale has sold out for a certain show, not to worry, general admission tickets for the tour release this Friday. In addition to receiving tickets to the show, every ticket purchase will also include a copy of their upcoming album.
