Electric Zoo 2017 Reveals 2017 Theme

Electric Zoo 2017

As the new year commences, Electric Zoo has revealed their latest theme for their ninth annual Labor Day Weekend festival. Returning to Randall’s Island Park, this year’s Electric Zoo theme will be entitled the “6th Boro” in recognition to the existing five boroughs of New York City (Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Staten Island). Last year’s theme, “Wild Island”, structured the festival by incorporating animal statues throughout the venue as well as an imposing cobra shaped mainstage megastructure.

New York City is known to host two primary EDM festivals every year, with them being EDC New York and Electric Zoo. However, with the announcement of the cancelation of EDC New York this year, EDM fans will surely dedicate more of their attention to what Electric Zoo has in-store for this Labor Day Weekend. Last year’s Electric Zoo Festival headlined an impressive lineup of artists featuring talents such as Tiesto, Hardwell, Bassnectar and The Chainsmokers. Although no lineup has been announced yet for this year’s festival, we are sure to expect another star-studded lineup of talent.
