Daft Punk’s ‘Homework’ Turns 20 Today

Daft Punk's Homework

Where does the time even go? Today marks a special event in electronic music history because Daft Punk released their hit album Homework 20 years ago. The legendary French duo is loved by all and greatly respected by the community for their early pioneering into electronic music. We’d like to honor the album by sharing some facts about the timeless project.

Homework shocked the world on January 17, 1997 and it’s known as one of the best electronic albums of all time. It sold over two million copies when it was released on Virgin Records. The album features some notable songs like “Around the World”, “Da Funk” and “Revolution 909”. In “Around the World”, the song title is repeated 144 times. Check out our past article on the entire history of Daft Punk!

Let’s hope for an Alive 2017 tour. Listen to the album and a live recording of the Homework tour in 1997 below. Enjoy!
