Bonobo Releases New Album “Migration”

What better way to start off your morning than taking a listen to the much anticipated release of Bonobo’s new album Migration, out this past Friday. A project Simon Green has been working on for the past three years, the album is full of pieces inspired by the unique nuances of people and places throughout his time on the road.  Migration features songs with Nick Murphy (fka Chet Faker), Rhye and more.

If you’ve got the time, listen through the album from start to finish the first time around. The story Bonobo tells takes you through his nomadic experience while also allowing you to project your own journey onto the tracks.  Starting things off slowly and bringing you into the inner workings of his mind, ‘Migration’ gives listeners a feel for the types of landscapes and environments that influence the albums theme.  With downtempo, ambiance and electronica vibes, each song offers a breathtaking opportunity to listen and appreciate the musical stylings of Bonobo in a new way.

‘Second Sun’ being one of those tracks that pulls on some serious heart strings with it’s almost cinematic intensity and acoustics. ‘Kerala’, which was the first single released along with an official video in November, kept up it’s position as one of the album favorites. Now also being joined by ‘No Reason’ with vocals from Nick Murphy on one of the more dance geared tunes of the album. The world needed these two to collaborate and it was well worth the wait.

Bonobo seamlessly maneuvers his way through ethereal ambient electronica and more upbeat tracks that we are counting down the days until we can see live. ‘Migration’ is sure to be one of the most talked about tours of 2017. Until he comes to you, sit back, relax and give your soul some music to be happy about.
