The Chainsmokers Dominate Billboard’s List Of Top-Streamed Songs For 2016

Chainsmokers
While not securing a top five spot in the most popular streamed songs of 2016 on Spotify, electronic music continues to lay down the gauntlet as their emergence into main stream is all but complete. Billboard compiled their list for this years’ favorites and The Chainsmokers broke the top ten twice at #7 with “Closer” featuring Halsey and at #9 with “Don’t Let Me Down” featuring Daya. Those weren’t their only productions that made the cut this year. ‘Roses” featuring Rozes came in at #36

Other notables outside the top 10 are Calvin Harris and Rihanna’s “This is What You Came For” at #18, Major Lazer featuring Justin Bieber & MØ’s “Cold Water” at #20, #44 “Let Me Love You” by DJ Snake featuring Justin Bieber, Daft Punk’s feature on The Weekend’s “Starboy” at #48, a tune from 2015 that is still rocking speakers everywhere, Major Lazer & DJ Snake featuring MØ “Lean On” at #54 and that’s just the top 50 or so.

Let’s continue this upward trend of domination while continuing to produce quality records as well. Quality, not quantity. You can view the entire list here
