main
A-Trak, born as Alain Macklovitch, is a Canadian DJ, producer, and record label owner of Fool’s Gold. He is known for his immense versatility on the decks – he was the first DJ to win all three of the major DJ competitions, DMC, ITF and Vestax (and he won the DMC World DJ Championship at the age of 15).

While A-Trak is known for his prowess as a DJ, he is also a very good producer. One of his most classic of tracks is titled “Heads Will Roll” and is internationally considered an EDM anthem. The funky fat bass line along with the catchy vocal sample in this pivotal track is something that EDM and festival-goers will immediately recognize.

A-Trak has revealed a small window into his production process – check out his Instagram post below to see the full clip. He details the song by first showing the “original bass demo” and then transitioning into the “90s demo” which features a completely different syncopated percussion line as well as bass line.
