Way Out West – Set My Mind

Set My Mind Way Out West – Set My Mind

Jody Wisternoff’s last few months have been straight fire. Having released two remixes, one on Where the Heart is Records, featuring David Hohme as the original artist titled “Fear Less” and the other, being a rework of a classic trance record by Chicane and Moya Brennan, “Saltwater” is transformed into a beautiful deep house rendition, only showcase his solo artist moves.

Earlier in this established artist’s career, he was apart of a dynamic duo alongside Nick Warren who called themselves Way Out West. After quite the extended hiatus, they are back with a slight modification to their sound; as to be expected from artists who continued to grow and produce separately after their split.

The first single off of their slated early 2017 album was “Tuesday Maybe” back on the Anjunadeep: 07 compilation. A chilling number that won the hearts of many also included two remixes by the likes of I:Cube and Amateur Dance, garnishing support from industry heavyweights such as John Digweed, Maceo Plex, Hernan Cattaneo, Nic Fanciulli, Mano Le Tough and TEED among many others. Their second offering comes in the form of a much different style; encompassing heavy stabs to comprise the main melody arrangement. Utilizing addictive lyrical content that gently flow with exquisite transitions, stringy pads add a final layer to complete the mix; leaving a strong mark for the rest of the album which also be released on Anjunadeep.
