EDMTunes’ Top 20 Tracks From The First Half Of 2016 (Numbers 10-1)

Yesterday, we presented you with the first half of our countdown of the ‘Top 20 Tracks From The First Half Of 2016’. Now, it’s time to reveal the Top 10, which features tunes from some of the biggest names in the industry.

In order to determine the EDMTunes Top 20, the editors created a Facebook poll and asked our staff to select their 10 favorite tracks of 2016. In order to ensure that the list wasn’t “too obscure” or “too mainstream”, we also requested that people take both quality and popularity into consideration when voting. Ties were broken by the editing team.

For those who need a refresher, here are numbers 20-11:

#20. Justin Martin – Hello Clouds (feat. Femme)
#19. Zomboy – Like A Bitch
#18. Flume – Smoke & Retribution (Ekali Remix)
#17. TroyBoi – And Wot?
#16. Eric Prydz – Trubble
#15. Wiwek & Skrillex – Killa Ft Elliphant
#14. Flume – Say It feat. Tove Lo
#13. Daft Punk – Doin It Right (k?d Remix)
#12. Above & Beyond – A.I.
#11. Mat Zo – Soul Food

#10. Ookay – Thief

“Thief” is definitely Ookay’s most successful tune to date and we expect that it will continue to rack up streams now that it has received a touching music video.

#9. RÜFÜS / RÜFÜS DU SOL – Innerbloom (What So Not Remix)

What So Not’s “Innerbloom” remix might be roughly half the length of the original, but that doesn’t make it any less magnificent.

#8. Cirez D – In The Reds

This is Eric Prydz’s second appearance on the countdown, but his first as Cirez D. Spoiler alert: this won’t be the last time you see his name.

#7. Torro Torro – Make A Move (Skrillex Remix)

Skrillex’s second entry in our countdown isn’t his greatest remix to date, but when you’ve been cranking out quality productions for over half a decade, it’s easy for tunes like this to go under appreciated.

#6. Lane 8 – Midnight

Lane 8 is a certified EDMTunes favorite and if he keeps putting out tunes like “Midnight”, he will continue to hold that status for quite some time.

#5. The Chainsmokers – Don’t Let Me Down ft. Daya

It’s been tough to escape “Don’t Let Me Down” and we don’t expect that to change any time soon. The Chainsmokers’ latest hit is officially battling for ‘Song of the Summer’ status.

#4. Dillon Francis & NGHTMRE – Need You

NGHTMRE has been linking up with almost every artist imaginable as of late, but there is no doubt that his effort with Dillon Francis is a cut above the rest.

#3. Flume – Never Be Like You feat. Kai

Flume’s album is full of goodies, but it shouldn’t come of much of a surprise that we went with Skin‘s most commercially-successful track for our countdown.

#2. Eric Prydz – The Matrix

For our third and final Prydz track on the Top 20 list, we selected with Opus‘ 18th song, “The Matrix”. This used to be one of his most sought-after IDs and we were ecstatic when it finally got released back in February.

#1. Galantis – No Money

Last, but not least, we have Galantis at number one with their infectious hit “No Money”. The track was premiered at Ultra and has been spreading like wildfire ever since. Will it be number one on our year-end list? Only time will tell…
