Armin Van Buuren Vs Human Resource – Dominator

Trance legend Armin Van Buuren is further exploring the origins of “Old Skool” from his latest LP Embrace by devoting a mini album and lead single “Dominator” to it. We first heard “Dominator” at Ultra Music Festival earlier this year before it became the standard opening in every Armin set since. First created by Dutch dance act Human Resource back in 1991, “Dominator” sustains new energy from Armin as if they were around to construct it today.

“It was on all the major compilations, and it was a breakthrough. And I felt that, you know, it would be cool to really go into the minds of the people of Human Resource and try and come up with a version they would have made if they would have lived in 2016.”

Armin is dedicating his next mini album Old Skool to the sounds that influenced and supercharged his music career. He says the album will be a “one-off thing” and primarily exists to bring back the “fun of dance music, the excitement of dance music, [and] the energy of dance music.”
