Jack U Goes Gold

It was not long ago that dance superstars Skrillex and Diplo starting collaborating together enough to call themselves a duo. It began on the Mad Decent Block Party tour in 2013 and has now bloomed into a group that’s already left a huge footprint on modern dance and pop music.

Jack U cannot be identified with one genre or sound and that is probably what makes them so entertaining. They can bring anything to the DJ booth and make it sound good an get the crowds moving. They are finally being recognized for that ability as their mix tape that released in 2015 has been certified Gold by the RIAA. It was surprising that they were able to keep their biggest hit yet “Where are you now” ft Justin Bieber completely under wraps and unknown until the mix tapes release. The song immediately climbed charts and already went triple platinum earlier this year. This proves you cannot just classify Skrillex and Diplo as “DJs” but a couple of the top music producers in the world. They have actually both been producers on huge songs for many many years an just now get recognition because they have decided to now throw their names on the song as the artist. Makes you wonder who else is responsible for the big tunes we hear all the time.

Their first mix tape “Skrillex and Diplo present Jack U” has now sold over 500,000 units and I don’t think anyone is surprised. If you have not seen them yet make sure you do soon.
