Martin Garrix – STMPD Radio #001 (Steve James Guest Mix)
In today’s electronic music industry, it seems like artists need to have a variety of projects on the go in order to be considered a true superstar. With multiple chart-topping singles, Ibiza and Vegas residencies and his own label, Martin Garrix has proven that he can hang with the big boys. Now, he is following in the footsteps of deadmau5, Skrillex, Eric Prydz, Major Lazer and more by launching a radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1. The first episode of STMPD Radio took place on Friday and featured a guest mix from Garrix’s newest protégé.
It seems like Martin Garrix has officially taken Steve James under his wing. The high schooler from a small town in Pennsylvania recently opened for the STMPD boss at a charity event in LA as well as a Vegas pool party. The two will now be taking their partnership to the next level, as Garrix revealed that the “Renaissance” producer will be dropping a single on his imprint in the near future. It’s also worth noting that James took this opportunity to premiere a new track, “In My Head”, which is set to be released on July 1st.
