Imagine Music Festival Expands to Fill TomorrowWorld Void

After an egregious start to the 2016 dance music festival scene, with SFX scrapping plans for TomorrowWorld’s reappearance, and Counterpoint suffering the same fate, the future looked grim for EDM lovers in the South East region of the United States. Well fret not festival goers, Image Music Festival is here to save the year. And oh boy, what a festival it’s shaping out to be.

IMF captivated this writer already back when their phase 1 lineup was released, announcing big name artists such as Benny Benassi, Dillon Francis, Showtek, Pendulum, and more. Since then an additional third day was added on to the itinerary, and the festival now also features optional ticket purchases to allow for the full festival camping experience. It’s looking like the producers behind Imagine Music Festival are more than happy to swoop in and fill the void left by TW’s cancellation.

And if those announcements weren’t already enough to captivate the hearts of every Dance Music Fan longing for an end-of-summer festival replacement in the area, now there’s even more good news.

The new venue of the third annual Imagine Music Festival is non other than:

the Atlanta Motor Speedway!

venue

To put this monumental attainment into perspective, the EDC Las Vegas venue is roughly 1,200 acres. The Atlanta Motor Speedway venue on the other hand, is about 900 and considered the sister of the famed Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Compared to the mere 17 acres offered by the old Historic Fourth Ward Park venue, there is now so much more space to do activities!

Located just 21 miles south of ATL International Airport via route 41, “the landmark Atlanta site includes: capacity for over 100,000 per day; grass fields for the festival’s new camping options; onsite parking; over 100 RV spaces with full hook ups; premium RV spaces overlooking the festival grounds and more”.

“With over five stages across the speedway in-field and camping including: the main aquatic stage, live stage, house stage, DnB stage, and silent disco” IMF is shaping up to be quite the trend setter this year, so stay tuned, because the highly anticipated phase 2 line-up announcement should be coming shortly!
