Felix Jaehn vs. Hitimpulse – Cut The Cord
Felix Jaehn may be a year removed from the release of his internationally-recognized remix of OMI’s “Cheerleader”, but he’s used the last 12 months to grow his catalog of hits and round out his profile as an artist quite nicely. He followed up his remix of “Cheerleader” with yet another chart-topping release, his take on “Ain’t Nobody” featuring Jasmine Thompson, before releasing his Felix Jaehn EP early in 2016. This year has been more of the same, as the German youngster teamed up with one of dance music’s most iconic producers in Steve Aoki, and one of music’s most talented voices in Adam Lambert.
For his most recent effort titled “Cut The Cord”, Felix Jaehn has gone out of his comfort zone and enlisted Hitimpulse to infuse the track with his own production style. The duo of talented producers set the vibe with ballad-like vocals layered over a luscious piano melody. The track builds in energy before a heavy-hitting drop with heavy bass stabs and a clear future bass vibe.
