The Chainsmokers ft. Daya – Don’t Let Me Down (Jenaux Remix)

When I get really drunk, I end up with lost credit cards, pizza stains on my bed, and an aggressively unsolvable hangover in the morning. When producer Eugene Veltman, better known as Jenaux, gets really drunk, he parties with Alex and Drew from The Chainsmokers in Barcelona, manages to get them to give him the stems to their new release, and conjures up a beautifully cohesive and invigorating remix of “Don’t Let Me Down.”

The Chainsmoker’s original has a more sensual reggae vibe, while Jenuax’s is more aligned with his melodic style. But what a surprising play with the funk and grooves from the progressive guru, adding some strong horn accompaniments to accentuate the brightness of the whole song. In his SoundCloud message for this track, Jenaux foreshadows the release of at least 9 new originals, and if the diversity of his recent releases – ranging from Anjunabeats trance to this funky, fresh track – I’ll admit I’m pretty stoked. But while we wait for him to put his finalizing touches on those originals, grab the free download of “Don’t Let Me Down” below.
