It has been well over seven months since we last heard from NYC native, Kasum. His last release, a cover of Avril Lavigne’s, “Complicated” caught our attention, and the producer has once again captivated our ears by way of his latest release, a remix of Troye Sivan‘s original track, “Youth“.
Kasum’s remix of “Youth” showcases his unique production abilities. The track, premiered on Billboard, embodies an upbeat melody, complimented by intricate, layered sounds. Troy Sivan’s original vocals are consistent throughout the track, and are perfectly juxtaposed by the unique atmospheric soundscape constructed by Kasum. “Youth” marks a new musical direction for Kasum, who has often been recognized for his remixes of punk rock tracks.
