Lane 8 is off to a massive start to 2016. He began the year by releasing the richly emotive single “Midnight“, which he had debuted on his Winter 2015 Mixtape. This was subsequently followed with the release of the full three-track Midnight EP, which gave his fans two more strikingly powerful releases. Lane 8 then gave his fans his ‘Spring 2016’ mixtape, which teased three brand new ID’s and treated us to another seamlessly fluid hour and half of music. His newest gift to us follows up on his masterful debut album Rise. Lane 8 released a 9-track remix package, featuring remixes by Jody Wisternoff, Moon Boots, Yotto and even himself.
The package features two reworks by Lane 8, the first being his alternate version of “Ghost“, which he released back in May of 2015. His second rework flips “Loving You” on its head, lending it a darker tone with a hypnotically rhythmic feel. He takes the track to unexplored depths, delving deep on the musical spectrum to craft a club-ready masterpiece. With this version, Lane 8 demonstrates his artistic versatility, as he transforms his melodically beautiful vocal anthem into a deep and dark after hours set staple.
