Ivy Levan – 27 Club (OxV Remix)
OxV has fantastically remixed Ivy Levan’s 27 Club, a track that has seen its fair share of remixes lately, undoubtedly due to the remix package just put out by Interscope. This version joins remixes from Rusko, Goshfather and Jinco, among others. OxV’s take highlights Levan’s soulful vocals, inter midst an eclectic array of synthesizer work, reminiscent of the en vogue ‘Moving Castle’ sound. Claps, vocal stutters, and booming drums harmonically overlay one another and provide an appealing take on the hit record. OxV is still a fairly small act, but they are doing a duo worth keeping an eye out for.
