Tonight, CONTROL at Avalon will feel the Drums and the Bass as Hospitality Records takes over the night, showcasing some of the label’s finest DJ’s. Danny Byrd, Metrik, Etherwood, Reso, Dynamite MC, and LA DnB resident Machete will be on the decks, so get ready for some non-stop pulsing beats.
English producer / DJ Danny Byrd kicked off his music career in the late 90’s as one of the first artists signed to Hospital Records. After years perfecting his craft, Bryd released his long awaited album “Supersized” in 2008, gaining attention from industry heavy hitters like Annie Mac and Zane Lowe.
Tom Mundell, better known as Metrik, has been steadily gaining traction since 2007. Before signing exclusively with Hospital Records, Metrik built an unexceptional catalog with acclaimed labels like Viper Recordings and Shotgun Audio.
Newcomer Etherwood has quickly risen to the massive success, gaining support from artists such as Lana Del Rey, Jakwob, Gorgon City and Alex Clare. Reso’s debut album Tangram was released in 2012 with Civil Music. Since then, his unique brand of forward thinking, down-tempo drum & bass has cemented his status as one of the most talented producers in the scene.
