Madeon – Imperium (Dillon Francis Remix)
Dillon Francis is ruthless. It’s been a mere week since he dropped the napalm bomb that was, This Mixtape is Fire, and we’re still recovering from our self-inflicted fourth degree burns after blaring it out of every speaker system in sight. It’s time to lick our wounds and get ready for some fresh heat, because he’s released yet another scorcher, coming in the form of a Madeon “Imperium” remix. The original carried an air of innocence throughout it’s sharp synth laden melody, along with some notably grungier bass elements, but as with any Dillon Francis production, the reimagined “Imperium” is full of Moomba-tastic piss n’ vinegar. Expect sharpened highs, grittier lows, and choppier flow, as well a host of pretty details that subtly sneak into his builds and breakdowns to keep things well rounded.
