Amtrac – Hold On

Kentucky-based producer Amtrac‘s latest release, ‘Hold On’ is poised to be his biggest record to date. Released on Mark Knight’s Toolroom imprint, Amtrac infuses his love for old vocal cuts with his penchant for well-crafted grooves. The Motown a cappella sample of Marvin Gaye and Tami Terrel’s  “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing” blends nicely with the upbeat bass line, resulting in a catchy, soulful tune.

Over the past few years, Amtrac’s career has soared to new heights. Starting with his debut album release Came Along in 2011 to getting picked up by Kaskade in 2013 as an official Atmosphere tour opener. Since then, the Kentucky native has been sought after by heavy-hitter artists to remix their hits. As for the future, it looks like a new album is on the horizon. In a recent interview with Billboard, Amtrac hinted that his sophomore album features several live vocalists and would mostly follow a similar style to that of ‘Hold On’.  Look forward to the release some time at the end of this year, but for now, you can score a copy of the tune here.
