A few months after Knife Party‘s first album debut, Abandon Ship, they went missing. Ironically they’re touring Asia and Europe right now, so they literally did go missing off the face of the states. But a tweet hinting a new EP on the way and an apology for being so quiet will get them westernized once more for some heavy promoting. And this time they should.

Honestly, Abandon Ship does not compare to what they create best, EPs! Knife Party is best in short bursts, their creative energy remains consistent through 4 or 5 songs. But once they go past their limit, they run out of ideas. This return to EP format proves they know themselves a lot better than we give them credit. Usually DJs stick with a double-digit length after their debut album. But Knife Party knows what’s up, and we should expect some massive chaos from them soon.
