Yotto – Memento

Yotto – Memento

It seems that almost every week, Anjunadeep is cranking out something new and fresh from artists that are just on the cusp of being noticed and thrown into the limelight: with Yotto being no exception. Boasting a strong remix collection, reworking names like London Grammar, Pierce Fulton and Super8 & Tab over the last few months, Yotto took some time to work on his originals game.

Premieried on BBC Radio 1 last week, ‘Azzurro‘ along with ‘Memento’ will be released as a pair via Anjunadeep today, May 25th. ‘Azzurro’ focuses around a central groove, laying the foundation for an arpeggiated sub-melody, light, fluffy pads along with a stout piano lead, keeping the tone above the darkness for a time before plunging back down to a dominating heavy groove. ‘Memento’, first heard on James Grant’s mix of the Anjunadeep Edition a few weeks ago, doesn’t stray far from ‘Azzurro’. Only deeper and darker; minus the airy pads and silky piano inserts. You can also jam out to Yotto’s recent Anjunadeep Edition mix which hit the Anjuna soundcloud last week.
