Watch What Happens When Black Butter Records & MATTE Throw “A PARTY”

Black Butter Records

In its five years of existence, Black Butter Records has gone from an independent record label primarily used to promote its founders’ artists to one of the most recognizable and iconic dance music imprints in the world. The UK-based record label made its debut in 2010, with the release of Rack ‘N Ruins’ Soundclash EP, featuring Jessie Ware, and has since gone on to feature releases by both superstar artists and up-and-coming talents like Gorgon City, Clean Bandit, and Rudimental.

In addition to functioning as one of the UK’s premier underground record labels, Black Butter Records has also developed a reputation for throwing some of the baddest parties out there. To kick off the year, Black Butter Records took over Treehouse in Miami during Miami Music Week for a night of some of the best house music in the world, and just one week later, the London imprint was back in the States, partnering with MATTE to take over the Bowery Bank Building in New York for a night featuring their signature underground sound. Black Butter Records’ artists Kidnap Kid, My Nu Leng, and Wayward were joined by Jessie Andrews, Cara Stricker, the Gaslamp Killer, and many more, for six hours of the best house music on the planet, and you can see it all in the recap video below.
