Hellberg- The Girl (Asalto Remix)
Asalto is a rapidly rising progressive house producer who is cementing his place as an artist that is here to stay. He got his biggest break back in October, when he released his collaboration ‘Sweetest Heartache‘ with Style of Eye and Michel Zitron. Asalto has laid relatively dormant since then, only releasing one remix (which was fantastic, nonetheless). He has now set out to tackle Hellberg‘s ‘The Girl,’ entering Monstercat‘s inevitably competitive remix contest.
Asalto’s take on ‘The Girl’ begins slowly and rhythmically, gradually building in intensity before a dramatic break. He then masterfully introduces Cozi Zuehlsdorff’s gorgeous vocals, which soar over the quietly complementary production. At almost the 3 minute mark, Asalto makes you wait before hitting you with his signature explosion of energetic progressive house. While it is certainly early, the producer has immediately solidified a prime position in this remix contest. Calling it one of his “all-time favourites,” Asalto has clearly done the track justice.
