Nero – The Thrill (Porter Robinson Remix)
There’s no denying the beauty of Worlds, but that doesn’t mean Porter Robinson fans wouldn’t love some new material. In an interview with Billboard, he discussed his struggle to make new music, stating that he had a terrible case of writer’s block after wrapping up his album. His breakthrough came when he realized he needed to lower his expectations and stop trying to write his next magnum opus. He began searching for songs that he liked and could remix and Nero‘s powerful synthpop track “The Thrill” was a perfect fit.
Porter previewed his remix of “The Thrill”, which is the second single off of Nero’s forthcoming album, this weekend at Coachella. He completely transforms the original from a heavy, grungy track to a powerfully gorgeous and emotionally impactful production. The remix is reminiscent of his work on Worlds due to its immersive qualities and intensely beautiful drop.
