It was a very exciting day on January 26 when Jeff Montalvo (professionally known as Seven Lions) announced the forthcoming of his latest EP, The Throes of Winter. Though I am sure many will agree that it will be difficult to match his most recent and immaculate EPÂ Worlds Apart, Montalvo has been tantalizing our taste buds for what is to come with his latest project. The first single off the new EP was released on January 28 titled “Lose Myself” and featured the vocals of Lynn Gunn. Following the release of the first single, Montalvo revealed a sneak peek of a second track off the EP on February 11. Tonight, Seven Lions has released the second full length track off of The Throes Of Winter titled ‘A Way To Say Goodbye‘ accompanied by the voice of Sombear.
The track much alike ‘Lose Myself‘ takes a step away from Jeff’s signature melodic sounding dubstep. The EP appears to not have been as heavily influenced by trance as many tracks by Montalvo have been. Though ‘A Way To Say Goodbye‘ is arguably more commercial in sound, Seven Lions has managed to still produce another solid track.
The EP is set to be released on March 3 on Casablanca Records, however you can already pre-order The Throes Of Winter on iTunes here which will automatically download the single ‘Lose Myself‘.
