Laidback Luke is one of the most revered DJs in the industry, known for his brilliant and bold mixes that draw from every genre. He’ll mix everything from Frank Sinatra to Borgore and he never ceases to amaze his audience with his eclectic live sets. Laidback Luke showcased this ability with his year end mix, which included tracks from everybody from Claude Von Stroke to Botnek. While his DJ skills are legendary, you should never sleep on his production abilities. Laidback Luke recently released “S.A.X.”, a collaboration with Tujamo that shot straight to number 1 on the Beatport charts. While it was removed from Beatport due to a charting scandal, the track’s success highlights Laidback Luke’s immense influence as a producer in the electronic music world. His newest release will be his “Loaded” remix on Darklight Recordings. Darklight Recordings is Fedde le Grand’s new record label, which premiered its first track back in January. Its debut track was Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike’s “Tales Of Tomorrow,” which experienced significant commercial success by climbing into Beatport’s Top 10. “Loaded” has big shoes to fill, as it will be the second track released on the label.
“Loaded” is designed to go off in a club, featuring a hypnotic buildup with chopped up vocals. The track comes to life at the drop with a pulsating electro house melody that would energize even the dullest and most stagnant crowd. While Laidback Luke only released the preview, the full release is set for February 16th. You’ll even be able to stream the full version on Spotify a week earlier on February 9th.
