Jason Ross – Cairo

If you haven’t heard of Jason Ross yet, you need to pay attention to this. Since the Group Therapy debut of his track Burma last year, this Los Angeles native has been heralded as Anjunabeats‘ breakout artist of 2014, and his name appears on numerous Artists to Watch lists for 2015.  If you have been to an Above & Beyond show recently, there is no doubt you have heard the captivating melodies and pulse-pounding baselines of Jason in tracks like his remix of Parker & Hanson‘s Gravity or his debut original on Anjunabeats, Elements. Currently, his latest track Atlas with Wrechiski sits at #1 on the Beatport Trance chart. Jason’s meteoric rise continued this week with his latest track, Cairo, premiering on Group Therapy as the Track of the Week.

Beginning with soft percussion and an Eastern-styled vocal, the intro quickly collides with a big room styled minimal bassline that carries the kind of depth and melody that is sure to trigger a rush of euphoria. The bassline gives way to a stadium-filling melodic bridge, which is driven by the echoing vocals steadily reaching higher until the bass kicks back in and meets the soaring synths that are the calling card of Anjunabeats’ tracks. As is common with many Jason Ross releases, the uplifting climax moves into a intense beat driven outro that will make you wish the track would never end. The track will be coming soon on Anjunabeats, but check out the preview in the meantime and be on the lookout for a huge 2015 from Jason Ross.
