It’s been less than a year since Bassnectar dropped Noise vs Beauty, the breathtaking album that showcased Bassnectar’s versatility as a producer. While many bassheads may love Lorin for his dirty drops and heavy bass, the album highlighted his talents in making beautiful music as the album’s title suggests. “You & Me” is a perfect example of this, as Lorin deviated from his style to deliver an emotional and euphoric track. Lorin’s past two releases seem to have followed this mold, as his “Midnight” remix delivers with a a beautiful future bass-esque explosion. His most recent remix of The Glitch Mob’s “Beauty Of The Unhidden Heart” stays consistent with this style.
“Beauty Of The Unhidden Heart” begins ominously before abruptly shifting to a serene and tranquil vibe. From here Lorin introduces the track’s quietly beautiful vocals which perfectly build up the track. Lorin delivers with a crashing wave of future bass reminiscent to the drop on “Midnight.” The track is one of many remixes of The Glitch Mob’s “Love Death Immortality” album.
