Insomniac to Bring Kinetic Cathedral Stage to EDC Orlando
The Orlando edition of Electric Daisy Carnival is like the little festival that could. Starting with very modest trappings in 2011, EDC Orlando was relatively small in terms of attendance and production but boasted a surprisingly impressive line up. The inaugural show featured superstar acts like Tiesto, Skrillex, Benny Benassi, Calvin Harris, and Paul Van Dyk. Since 2011, EDC Orlando has changed dates from late-spring to fall, and has only grown in size and spectacle. With impressive production last year, and a fantastic roster of artists, EDC Orlando seemed poised to break through in a big way this year. Thankfully, it seems Insomniac is set to deliver on these lofty expectations. Besides boasting the characteristically impressive lineup, EDC Orlando will feature the Kinetic Cathedral stage first seen at this years Vegas edition of the fest. Late last week, Pasquale Rotella took to social media to make the bombshell announcement. The Kinetic Cathedral comes equipped with 30 lasers, 28 LED displays, multiple screens and runs on 2.5 million watts of power. The inclusion of the Kinetic Cathedral, which served as EDC Las Vegas’ main stage, is a sure sign that Insomniac knows what fans have for years now: Orlando is ready to play with the big leagues. Be sure to check out this impressive stage at EDC Orlando on November 7th and 8th.
