Jeremy Olander – The Jackie EP
Super fans of the legendary Eric Prydz know all too well that his label, Pryda Recordings, has some of the most unique and a-typical sounding producers in today’s ever growing and trend-prone dance music scene. A well known member of the Pryda team, Jeremy Olander has been busy concocting this fabulous EP for quite a while now and it’s obvious that all three works that comprise The Jackie EP are gorgeous efforts. Coming with a memorable tech-infused yet melodic style, the three individual tracks have been fan favorites sprinkled into Olander’s much loved sets for a few months now, so past show attendees can expect these great records to be a much welcomed familiarity.
The first record on The Jackie EP, also titled “Jackie”, is a beautiful progressive tune that will sound familiar to Group Therapy regulars, as it was featured on Olander’s Guest Mix for the 93rd installment of Above and Beyond’s legendary radio show just a few weeks ago. “DLIGTY” has a bit more electro character and keeps a brisk pace through its descending chords that blend to make computerized rhythm. And the long requested unknown ID now titled “Lauderdale” is the last track of the EP and is a darker toned masterpiece that features very strong builds that eventually go back down into valleys of electric melody, marking the end of the well put together EP.
