Music festivals and event brands continue to expand abroad and build their global brand (see: Tomorrowland’s Brazil announcement, EDC UK, etc.) but Ultra seems to be leading the pack.  The brand’s global growth show no sign of slowing as it gears up for the first-ever Ultra Japan, bringing the mega music festival’s tally to nine countries on five continents.

Further solidifying this global domination, Ultra has announced that the inaugural Ultra Japan has officially sold out its 42,000 tickets, eight weeks before the two-day festival begins on September 27th and 28th at Tokyo Odaiba Ultra Park. Phase 1 of the lineup has been announced and dance-music lovers can look forward to seeing Afrojack, Alesso, Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Fedde Le Grand, Hardwell, Kaskade, Martin Garrix, Steve Angello and W&W on the decks in Tokyo.  Ultra Japan is the brand’s second hallmark in Asia; in June, the third edition of Ultra Korea successfully took place in Seoul, South Korea, with over 100,000 attendees over two days, compared to 40,000 attendees at Ultra Korea 2013.
