Red Cross Aids Stranded Hudson Project Attendees

Hudson Project Red Cross Aid
In the wake of an event now referred to as ‘The Mudson Project’ or ‘The Floodson Project’, many attendees found themselves stranded at the campgrounds in Saugerties, NY. Unable to free their vehicles from the viscous mud that was left behind by the fierce weather systems this past weekend, festival-goers were urged to seek shelter at the Kiwanis Ice Rink, where the Mid-Hudson Chapter of the American Red Cross was providing snacks and water. The Ulster County Director of Emergency Services and MCP Presents, the festival promoter, jointly coordinated an operation that would shuttle stranded Hudson Project attendees from the campgrounds to the shelter. The shelter served 78 meals and 871 snacks before closing at 2:30 p.m. Monday, the Red Cross said. Scouring Youtube will lead you to find a multitude of videos showing the level of flooding present at the event. Here’s but one of dozens -at least in this one everyone seems to be enjoying themselves!
