The producer has just put his signature squiggly spin on the band’s single “Best Friend”, from the album Supermodel, released this March. Keeping the tune and lyrics recognizable but crafting a remix all his own, the track stands out as a uniquely Wave Racer production.
Thomas Purcell has made a splash in electronic music this year, thanks to sweet B2B remixes with Ryan Hemsworth, and releases on Sydney label Future Classic – the home to Flume, Classixx, and a whole host of ultra-chill electronic musicians from the land down under and beyond. Having only put up his first tracks as Wave Racer about a year ago, he already opened for Disclosure this spring and has been touring the world.
