Ministry of Sound Is Back, 2014 Opening Parties Coming Soon

For those who missed it, The Ministry of Sound was facing threat of closure if London mayor, Boris Johnson, passed a property development law. Hundreds of thousands of people came to the support of the Ministry, and fought to save the landmark club; in the end a legal agreement was reached that let the developer Oakmayne to redevelop the Eileen House without disturbing the club.

After significant investments and extensive refurbishments, Ministry is back in action for 2014 and will be throwing opening parties to unveil the new courtyard, new VIP suite, and “The Box”. The Gallery will welcome the Anjunabeats family on January 24th, featuring Super8 & Tab, Boom Jinx, Prok & Fitch, Jaytech and many many more. The club’s mainstay event, Saturday Sessions, will follow on the 25th and will have performances from the likes of Dany Avila, Third Party and resident DJ Patrick Hagenaar.

The Ministry of Sound has been the location of many legendary performances, helped foster house music culture back in 90s, and has been kickstarting and showcasing international talent since its inception; 2014 marks a sort of new beginning for the club, and these opening shows have the potential to be historic.
