Grammy Nominations: Daft Punk Stands Tall for EDM Alongside Zedd, Armin van Buuren, Kaskade and more

The 56th Grammy Nominations have just finished being announced at the Nokia Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. Electronic dance music, once again, takes home a good chunk of the country’s most recognizable and reputable award nominations. A huge congratulations is in order to a number of EDM artists who were just announced, see below:

  • Daft Punk came out on top with four nominations with Record of the Year for “Get Lucky”, Album of the Year for Random Access Memories, Best Pop/Duo Performance with Pharrell Williams for “Get Lucky” and Best Dance/Electronica Album for Random Access Memories.
  • Calvin Harris was nominated with two awards for Best Dance Recording for “Sweet Nothing” and his album 18 Months was nominated for Best Dance/Electronica Album. Kaskade is nominated for the same two awards, as well, with the Atmosphere single and album.
  • Zedd, Armin van Buuren and Duke Dumont featuring A*M*E & MNEK were all nominated under the same category for Best Dance Recording with “Clarity”, “This is What it Feels Like” and “Need U (100%)”, respectively.
  • Disclosure’s Settle and Pretty Lights’ A Color Map Of The Sun were also nominated for Best Dance/Electronica Album 2014.
  • For the category: Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical, Alesso was nominated for “If I Lose Myself”, Cedric Gervais for “Summertime Sadness”, Photek for “One Love/People Get Ready”, Sultan + Ned Shepard for “Locked Out Of Heaven” and Andy Caldwell for “Days Turn Into Nights”.
